I'm going to the Gold Coast around July next year can anyone recommend a fishing guide for estuary fishing in the area, I will only have one day to spare for fishing so i want to make the most of it.
Thanks for any help

Hi Trog,
anywhere aound the broadwater estuary(shore based) or jacobs well (boat equipped). All you need is a couple of packets of Jig heads (light as you can go to cast and some Gulp sandworms, Sliders or Squidgies. 6lb Braid with 6-15lb flourcarbon leader on a 1-3kg stick and you will have a ball walking the
croc free sand flats.
There are lots of Bream, Flathead and a few whiting at that time of year. It can be a relaxing place to fish early in the morning. I think there is a guide called Alure who advertises a bit down there.
Make sure that you get stuck into the fishing up here before you go, makes you realise how lucky we are up here. Oh yeah, and don't tell anybody down there how good the fishing up here is

Thanks mate but dont have much time and no transport while there so i will have to stick with the local area this trip, but i want to explore northern NSW as well as southern QLD in the future when time allows.mariner_22 wrote:Mate I would highly recommend either heading south of the border and have a fish on the beaches around northern NSW at that time of year the tailor and bream run can be very good around that area. Some areas you may consider are Cabarita, Hastings Point, Wooyoung, Lennox head.
