Fenton patches on big tides

Post by volkoff »

Thinking of heading out to the Fenton patches Sunday. How do you think it will be like on big tides?

Should be good if you want to chase some pelagics, no idea for bottom bashing though, I don't do it much.... Billfish are invariably the target for me out that way.

Looks like the weather will be good for those wishing to score a late season fish.

Unless you have some spare car engines to use as sinkers you will only be able to bottom bash during the changes. Other than that chase pelagics

when you say chase pelagics does this involve basically trolling in the general vicinity? or maybe a bit of an el drifto with some balloons, live bait?

+1 about not being able to anchor on the big tides. ive learnt this the hard way.
