Elizabeth river tips

Post by joel_e »

Hey,
This weekend I'm going to launch the boat at Elizabeth bridge boat ramp. Has any one got any tips for good places to go? Go left or right from the boat ramp? Best tide time?
I will be targeting Barramundi but if someone knows a good spot for other types of fish also that would be good. Cheers!

If you go upstream it gets very gnarly with rockbars, I mapped them out in the FISH FINDER book using sonar but even with maps you still need to take great care.

Usual methods apply, fish the drains on outgoing, watch for bait, take your crab pots, few jacks, cod, bream and snapper on the rocks upstream on upper tide.

Thats a top effort, 10 barra. Even if they were undersize, a barra is a barra.
