Hey all,
heading out to Cahills tomorrow to get away for a day or so, and am planning on standing high on the rocks and hopefully luring something decent onto the line.
The tides are as follows for tomorrow
Low 7:06am
0.5 m
High 1:37pm
7.6 m
Low 7:37pm
1.5 m
Any hints??? Im happy to listen and learn.

Fish as the in coming tide go's over the crossing and watch out for crocs. Its not worth your life standing on the crossing just to catch a barra.

Re: Cahills Crossing
Fish the top of the incoming at night. Best when the tide backs up against the crossing and it all goes still. Also right on the turn after it has gone over the crossing. Cast from the rocks and work your lure parallel to the crossing. Barrabaits in the nourlangie tiger pattern or big 3+ or 10+ classics. Big BOOFS, big fish and big crocs!
Be VERY wary of the crocs. I've been stalked when retrieving fish. Haven't fished there for ten years, so not sure if any things changed.

No idea how people land fish there. Only time I flicked a lure there were 5 good sized crocs lying about. Saw one get himself a nice barra, was pretty impressive.
