Anchor out the front !!
They should be able to expect that people will obey the laws. :bonk:
As i said, common decency and it takes a few seconds off your trip.
If you miss those extra seconds, leave 15 seconds earlier
You don't park your car in the middle of the highway and expect them to slow down
Going against the current takes more than a few seconds and creates s far bigger wake than going past on the plane !!
What boat is it an where's it moored sampan or tommy cut ?? Tommy cut is pretty tight sampan should be enough room I would have thought ??

Dont mean to sound like a dick but It's the knob heads that don't do right thing that makes us people that do the right thing look like tossers!!!!
It won't be long until boat licenses will be up here. That will sort the good from the bad!!!

Boat licenses wont make a difference, they bought them in in WA and there is still a steady amount of knob heads in boats doing the wrong thing. The test for the license is simple
he fishes he fishes he fishes its the only thing in life all he ever gets is hell from his fed up wife

There is more than 60m passing room so cool ya jets. I doubt anyone would get closer then 30m, if you stick in the middle of the river you would still be more than 30m away from it.

this has always been the part thats made me laugh - you'd be just about going backwards on most big tidal rivers if you obey the 'no wake' rule.. ie, woolianna on a spring tide run out, if they want me to do 8kph i will, but sh!t my boat puts out a mean wake at 8kph + river going backwards at 10kph. :surf:
slow down to a speed where the wake disappears and you starting going backwards real quick.

I tend to agree with you. I thought they would just impose it and tell us what is good for us. But if the power/water thing is anything to go by, they haven’t got the balls to do it.
I still maintain that an education program is a must. At least people will be aware of the right thing to do. If they do the right thing, well that’s another matter
