A place to sleep at the Daley

Post by resindog »

Got a bit of an in house clash going on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday week at the Daley.
Anyone got any suggestions for accomodation on the river with their own mooring if possible prefer cabins/lodge but can pitch a tent. ( phone numbers would be great)
Been around the place quiet a few a bit but always slept onboard, But this one looks like I might need somewhwhere to leave the keys. :naughty:

Wooliana is a good place to stay.

You can pitch a tent there if you want to. They do have a couple of cabins but I think they are hard to book.

Further downstream than anywhear else. Save's on fuel.

Beware of the droping river. Last year the river rose and fell many metres while I was there. Over night the river could fall 3-4 metres. Leaving many boats high and dry. They were caught up in trees, sitting on the walk ways that are there in the dry season.

There telephone number is 08 8978 2478. I know this phone line has been down lately but I think it may be fixed now. They do have another number but I do not know what it is.

I will be there in 2 weeks myself for a couple of weeks.

I hope this is of help.

I generally stay at Sinclair's on the Daly. Old Harold there has about a dozen powered cabins with 2 single beds in each. $50 a night for fan only cabins and $55 for fan + a/c and a great swimming pool. He does have a pontoon for overnight boat mooring that he uses only when the river level is stable. I know he is full Fri & Sat nights as I've had to book at Banyan Tourist park so I guess I'll soon know what that's like as well!

Cheers,
Travis
