I try and pass ALL info and questions on to the meetings even when they differ from my own ideals and thinking... I give up a poop load of MY time to try and help the fishery... Anyone who knows me will tell you I am NOT a eleatist comp fisherman..... yes I know a lot of them and some are friends but that is all.... I am on the AFANT committee to try and make sure that the fishery is as good, if not better for my 2 boys when they are older...just remember I am only 1 of 12....

If you want to join the committe and give up your free time then just let me know at the meeting.

sometime it makes me wonder why I even bother you would think that I personaly went to the government minister and demanded these things

Settle down big fella no ones having a go at you personally ,we wouldnt want to find out that these people who complain about AFANT dont even turn up at the meetings would we as for the Cherabin pots and live baiting it would be good if they voted on that at the meeting and it got up imagine a river free of pots

If all this post and the current PROPOSAL achieves is to get more members and non-members to its AGM then that alone will be a wonderful thing. If (and i am as guilty as the next member) we want change then we MUST turn up to the AGM and show we are serious - all too easy to sit in your lounge or behind your computer and hang poop on the messenger but if you are REALLY serious then you MUST turn up at the AGM and send a message.

As stated i am as guitly as many members through work etc but it is critical that if you want your say then turn up!!

By the way i wont support all of the recommendations either but no good me mouthing off on this forum without turning up at the AGM!!

Just my two bobs worth!! Not having a shot at anyone here - as i keep telling you i am guilty as the next bloke!!

On 2Rods expressing AFANTS side of the story. I'm part of a volunteer organisation (have been for 22 years) and understand how it all works so don't take anything to heart I learnt years ago that you will not please everyone. Don't spit the dummy mate even though I don't know you personnaly I know a lot of people who do and they appreciate the work you do.

Hey mate not that I'm a lover of AFANT and agree with everything they are trying to do. Especially with cheribin pots or more regulations. But at the end of the day I probably agree with what they do more than I disagree.

Who raised the good idea of AFANT expressing their views or answering questions directed at them officially on this site. IT GETS MY VOTE

As far as changing the way the government thinks on issues when votes are concerned I think gov would look at more than what AFANT has to say on an issue than just taking it as that is what the majority of NT fisso's think.

Remember fisho's while you have a vote you still have a voice.
