Talk about the gear you can't afford and knots you can't tie.

My evacool 60 lt fridge freezer has not missed a beat in 8 years service , has been used in the shed , boat , and a permanent fixture in the back of the cruiser for the last 4 years travelling around. Have always used engels in the trucks but mainly because they fit i guess. Have had a great run out of both brands. I won a waeco in a comp last year and took that and the evakool on a trip up cape york and sold the waeco when we got home mainly due to power issues. i guess its up to what works for you as most popular brands seem to be ok these days.
