Re: Lowrance Side Scan Transducer mounting
Hi
I have mine of the other side but its got something to do with overlays. both tranducers side by side you can do some overlay thing. When mine was fitted the deal told me about it but the mounting plate was already there so they are about 1m apart.

Mine are 1/2" apart.. Overlay is spot on..

Re: Lowrance Side Scan Transducer mounting
Would any of you that have already fitted it care to throw a pic of them on the thread. It would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to get my side scan soon.

Re: Lowrance Side Scan Transducer mounting
All fitted and workin took it out friday night and spent more time lookin at the sounder than where i was going or fishing, ive only got it on the hds5 and its just fine if its the only screen up at the time, however i may get another unit to run the gps on. Can anyone tell me if you can take screen shots with the 5 or not? I ran side scan on the pallette it started with and around 70 on the contrast and found this to be prefect. Anyone got anymore hints? Searched the site but didnt find to much..

Thanks Jim. The overlay feature you're referring to is to just overlay the 2D and structure scan. It isn't to run them as split screen, correct? So as long as I could still run split screen, one 2d and one structure, and have the ability to plot waypoints on the sonar definitely don't see a need to overlay the two images.

Your assumptions are correct.
