Gday all, just after somewhere i can get the Lowrance side scan that may be cheaper than other places, looked on ebay at some stores but all around the same price.

Dunno about match but done ok for local my auto pilot was $350 dearer than what I could have had it landed at my door for buy shopping online but I went local stung me $40 for shopping though after I had paid for it though !!!

I haven't looked into this for ages but what about the geofencing issue when buying units from the states? Is there a way around this now or is everyone just using there units as sounders only?

We are not selling Lowrance products for the time being.

Lowrance have recently implemented their Geofencing technology into the new units (via a software update) to limit the functionality of US marketed equipment. Geofencing is a GIS term whereby software identifies a region on a map. Lowrance have a geofence programmed into the units that identifies (via GPS) where the unit is, and if the unit is an American standard unit, and the current location is outside of 30 degrees West and International Dateline East of the Americas, the unit will revert to US imperial units only and flash a message on the screen continuously saying "This unit is not set up in this area please contact authorized dealer".

Just a quick note he also sells the sonic hub for $300 bucks.........pretty good price too.
