HDS Insight USA question

Post by tissy »

Hi Everyone,

Was wondering if anyone has brought or done some research into buying a HDS8 or 10 Gen2 Insight USA from the states?
If so will it work in the topend with australian map card?
Any info would be great

Thanks Tissy

card will work but you have to send it back to usa for warranty claim.

I was under the impression the maps wouldn't work here!! That insight only covered the US and it would need to be reprogrammed which would see your cost blow out and still not have warranty. Happy to be wrong but I read that in a few different places.

I think the US versions are geo-fenced.

Best check on the HB's, pretty sure the latest ones are geo-fenced as well...........unless they are international models, which only come from a Canadian seller.

I tied to get a HDS a while back from a Bass Pro Shop in Canada, they didn't want to know me..........
