Great idea Dingo,
Dundee in March would be awesome, if the Finniss fishes anything like it did this March, plus the billy's might be around. 8)

Just have to convince the Mrs to let me take the new born out in the boat for the day, wish me luck :bonk: :banghead:

Cheers bullet

WIth the mixed fish idea you could include a prize for mystery fish as well?? Possibly where the mystery is drawn from a hat?

Where the winner is the person who catches the biggest/ heaviest fish wins?

This one is just a crazy idea. What if a monthly comp on the forum was set up for the best overall fish photo. It would be decided by a poll vote on the forum and the prizes could hopefully  come from some of Matts mates ie Reidys. 8) At the end of the year you could have a fish of the year award chosen out of the 12 previous months winners also decided by a poll vote. Dont know how crazy the idea is and keen for your thoughts or ideas. Might be a good one to get a few more posts on the forum.

As for the Dundee idea the 13th and 14th of march would be my pick of the tides for all round fishing in March or the next ones would be the 26th/27th which may be better weather depending on the wet. The rest are super huge springs on week ends which are good fishing but make it difficult for some and there isnt that many run offs to fish so neaps make for cleaner water all round. how do these dates tickle you's. :? Sorry dingo should ask if you have planned anything yet?

well in advance of any comp maybe put up a list of boat owners with room for a deckie and a list of land based blokes to make sure anyone who wants a seat gets one, might be able to match suburbs as well then to keep it simple ( not much point me offering a seat to someone in palmo if I'm in nightcliff and someone in palmo is doing the same to someone in nightcliff etc)
fish are skinny, the ocean is fat

Good to get some ideas coming out. There are a couple of other FFFers giving some ideas in by PMs as well. I dont want to say what we are doing as it is not my decision. But we are looking good to sort out a social fishing comp at Dundee in March, and a seperate barra comp. Will post up some more details by the end of the week..

Also some good ideas about the Photo comp and Faulksys comp to look into as well. Keep 'em coming

I would be in as well at this stage as I would be going somewhere for a fish any way. Might even get old silverfox in on it with a bit of notice.
