Camping Trip

Post by HODGY »

Boys and Girls,

I need some camping ideas?

I have to organise a camping trip for work :D (I know its a hard life!!) but i need some ideas of places to go/stay. It will be around early August for about 4-5 days. Travel time isn't important but location is. Needs to have some good places to see and some good fishing. We will be tenting it and hopefully self sufficient depending on the fishing.

Some ideas have been Mandorah, Limmen bight and channel point.

Any information or ideas????????

HODGY

alligater billabongs, You need to narrow it down. Do you want to be near to a shop or pub Or real camping with nothing. I had to organise a trip for my wk and some blokes wouldn't go if there were mossies. Some wanted a flushing toilet. Me I was happy to rough it.

We won't need anything, we will have a pub with us hopefully. Mossies and no toliets we can deal with.

One of the boys has suggested Channel point!!!! anyone been there?

Mouth of the Finness at Dundee. Bit of a beach drive heaps of mozzies and as a bonus hoards of sand flies :D 8) Pub not that far away, great fishing at the mouth and spectacular scenery. Channel point would be my 2nd choice but remember to get a permit. Hope it all goes well. Cheers Jersy
