Re: WHERE IS THE RAIN? Any Weather experts out there?
The flying out of the fish from a flooded area was a story in southern media by ABC Radio. No video/pix involved.
The facts and the ABC never seem to coincide.
Different complexion on things doesn't it.
Thanks fellas.

A couple of satellite images of Anison Bay and Chambers bay from yesterday and today. They aren't the best quality but you can see the influence of the flood waters.

I worked there, we had to fly the harvested/packed fishes out for the customers to ensure the supply is always available. We also flown the fish foods and fries in as well

Today's image.
You can get them at https://worldview.earthdata.nasa.gov/ Appears to take an "am and pm" picture daily. The resolution is limited to about 30m per pixel though. Another alternative is https://zoom.earth/ This is their image, the Moyle, Daily, Reynolds and Finniss rivers sure have pumped out some water!.theodosius wrote:Great pics Dannet, where are they from?

The latest satellite images are abit obscured by cloud, but this is Sampan to the East Alligator. It looks like the rivers are having a fair crack at making Chambers Bay fresh water.

I was wondering that. Imagine people who have heard the advice "nah mate, you can troll way out and still find barra, just follow the colour change right out. They can be out really wide when you don't find them at the mouth."

They are cracking pix. When the Roper really flows they say it is fresh all around Maria Island.
