Why is there a "post" quota to some parts of the forum? I realise that I do not write a prolific amount of "posts" but c'mon... I suppose I can try doing more sigh

I suffered the same quota problem , but because I don't make many posts, even though I read posts almost daily, I just can't compete with the wit, news and photos of the regulars who manage to keep me amused and informed. There is not a real need for me to clog the site with my drivel / dribble.

I cant write for sh1t, don't fish much, but use the forum like an online fishing magazine.
I have never asked advice on anything, don't want to know your secret spots etc.. Just enjoy the read.
Problem with the post quota, I could do 50 posts in one night with comments like "great trip, Wow what a fish" like some people, but I think that is defeating the purpose......
Why all of a sudden the quota? What is the purpose of it?

The quota is only on the Brotherhood forum, this forum is for people who have been here a while, and the 50 post limit shields it from the many who drop in to get the latest info but don't contribute

Most FFFers are keen to hear reports from everyone, spelling and grammar or amazing pix aren't the priority, it's just good to hear what people are up to, even if only a pikey bream was landed.

I have the same issue, don't get out fishing too much but enjoy reading what others are up to. I don't mind the restriction and accept that there are posts the "brotherhood" keep for the inner sanctum, no problem. Totally understandable there may be certain posts those that have been on here a long time don't want to share with the world, fair enough.

Just pump up the number of posts you do. doesnt take long to get to 50. I usually have the site up on my desk/table, but it can get very time consuming at times.
I still catch bugger all decent stuff but the info here helps me out. I dont feel so bad when i come back with rubbish fish like pikey bream (Hey - Sy)

OK, maybe I wuz outta line with the pikey bream comment

I don't think it is anything personnel guys. The idea of the forum was about putting stuff in so you and others stood a good chance of getting something back out of it. I know for a fact that there several people I know who only rob and pilage the site and give nothing back.

Quota has been there for a long time on the Brotherhood site.

At the end of the day it is trying to encourage everyone to participate more so we all get more out of it.

Yea I mainly use the forum for the fishing classifieds section and can't even ask the seller a question without 10 posts, well i guess i could pm him but I'm sure others viewing the post would prob want the same information anyway

He just throws that out there in the hope someone will believe it and buy his. Wouldn't be too hard to shift the 'greatest boat in the world' would it?
