just moved from SA to Darwin not asking for marks just some advice on Darwin harbour & the surrounds will be launching from Dinah beach on most occasions , Stacer crossfire 5.09 with 100hp really keen to target tuna & macks as coming from SA most fishing is bottom bashing.

Don't have to go far, Lee Point is as good as anywhere for tuna and macks.

Make sure you get the bible and GPS card, it's a very good start
Mackies and tuna should come in towards the dry

Most reliable spot is Lee Point, water clarity is always better even on bigger tides.
Generally a bit flighty in the harbour and gone are the days I used to see them in huge schools.
Will get them land based at both Lee and East points as well as Mandorah, macks on sunrise, tuna after 10am (enjoy the sleep in). I like slightly more movement in the tides, I reckon they feed harder with the push although your bite window will be smaller. The bait will ball up better on the pressure points and current lines.and the predators will gorge throughout the run and slow on the tide change. You can still target them but they’ll slurp the bait and spread out as the bait disperses.
Be prepared, any tuna over 8-10kg up here is considered good, they’re pups up here compared to down south.
Enjoy it!
