Macks and Tuna reports
Hi Guys,
I'm fairly new to boat fishing and looking to tick off some solid tuna and macks, it's might be a little early yet but has anyone been catching many lately?
cheers

Re: Macks and Tuna reports
Went out Saturday and the tuna and some Mack’s amoung then were at 6mile around lunch time
Couldn’t hook one on the lures that usually work and didn’t see the other 2 boats hook up either.
They weren’t flighty and were all around the boat feeding...very frustrating!!

went out to Dundee, and out near Sail City, there were schools going crazy, couldnt miss. 40g Halco outcasts were destroying them... so much fun.

Have also seen schools of tuna & queenies at 6 mile recently and same as mickd couldn't hook up on usual chromies/poppers, very annoying! They were quite flighty as though only popping up for a minute or less then buggering off.
Sounds like Dundee is the go if you can get a day without too much wind/swell.

Anyone had any Pelagic action out at Dundee lately, and how far out? wouldnt mind running the Shabby-Craft out there sometime, but obviously need days with zero wind, be preferable. ha ha!

Hey Captain, I went out a few weeks ago and there we tons of tuna bust ups, mostly macks but the odd long tail in the mix. Saw a few mackeral around as well but didn't manage to hook any just came home with some long tails, not complaining about the tuna steaks though!

Not sure exactly but we were probably traveling for around 30-45 minutes. It was blowing a bit in the morning around 6 and smoothed off and blew up again around 1:30 ish. My mate has 100l tank but we brought two 20l jerrys out as well
Hope that helps!

Heard a few reports of a lot of Macks getting caught in the harbour, even before Mandorah. Gold!

Cool as Mitch! Yeah, I'm itching to get out to Dundee sometime soon for a bit of a Pelagic-chase, but needs that flat-water for my boat!
