Some good fishing...

Post by balou »

Went for an over night trip to the tiwis with my brother in law visiting from the states . My mate came with his crew so it was a bit of fun for the final trip of the year.

Did some miles but we easily bagged out on jewies and Goldie. Not the biggest but 60-65 cm average. Could have kept chasing bigger Goldie’s but we didn’t want to kill any more unnecessary due to Baratrauma .We caught 12 coral trouts between us which was probably the highlight. Also endless 80 cm gt to keep the brother in law happy with non stop action.

Here’s afew photo from our crew.

Happy new year fff

Well done on some quality fish there mate. Looks like you picked a perfect day in between the storms

Did you give the jinkai system a run on the assist hooks off the jigs?

Nah mate...

We just rang two split rings and a swivel in the middle which was really good.

Perfect conditions but we did get smashed by a storm for an hour. I didn’t mind as it was that still out there.Bro in law came out of winter in LA so he nearly cooked.

Cheers for the report
If there is water and it holds fish, then it is fun trying to fool them into eating what you offer!!

Especially when you can see them!

Great report, hundreds of $$$ on a charter would not have produced fishing that varied/good.
