Is stena clyde still in the same location?
Any recent updates on the rig?

It's still there.

It just takes a bit longer to get there

Can anyone confirm if the new rig is being setup or already setup?

Someone at work just told me that Stena is leaving on Sunday.

It will be a shame, it was a great place to go to target mackies.

Harbourmaster says Stena Clyde is moving on Tuesday Aug 7.

Given all the great fishing reports from this "spot" I expect tears will flow.

Anchor handling tugs are already or about to be in attendance prepping the rig for tow.

HM says it is unsafe for rec fishers to head out there now and I'd wager probably no good for fishing now with all the noise and movement.

And to think you didnt even need a permit to fish it!!

Very dangerous to be around when they are lifting anchors. If they are moving Tuesday, I'd say anchors will probably start Sunday

So stoked I got to fish it. Cheers jeffish for the trip out there. Sad to see it go.

I just checked it's position on AIS and there must be a dozen pleasure craft out there just to the north .
Reckon they didn't know it was moving and have been pushed outside the exclusion zone .
