Grunter
What's the biggest grunter you have caught in NT waters? The biggest I have seen was 2.5kg (weighed) out of Sadgroves Creek, caught by Wayne Clancy.

the best grunter I have caught now is from the mouth of the south alligator, some real stonkers down there with a few over 60cm

Havent got any pics but the brother in law hits the mouth of the East and has landed some monsters out there, and they are a regular catch.
Live it and ENJOY
Cant save the world from idiots as they'll just build a better one!
Wouldn't need rules if people did the right thing!
PSST There maybe crocodiles in the water

One of my first ever trips with the bandit we got onto to some
good sized ones for the harbour at west arm . Have you got pics from that day Lee?, it was a long time ago i know that.
Rough guess 50-60cm, so how ever many kilo's a fish of that species weighs:-?.
Have caught some rippers myself at the fairway buoy in Karumba, easily 5kg fish, great fighters

Re: Grunter
A few years back (about 6) when I was doing charters for Equinox, lorna shoals got infested with them for 2 weeks in February. They were in amongst the Goldie schools. On one day we got 30 of them and the smallest was 2kg and a couple at about 4kg or 75cm. . Never seen them again near Darwin apart from the South mouth and the East Mouth towards Salt Water creek.

Re: Grunter
The ones in the last post I did on the South are all pidgeon cousins at 60 cm.
I remember getting some bigger ones back in the early 80's out off Point Stuart (funny nearly the same area)
