A 67 from the harbour yesterday. The wind billowing in the harbour yesterday made fishing pretty hard. I concentrated on mangroves that offered some shelter and did see quite a few nice size fish tailing in the shallows as the tide fell but could not get any interest in having a chomp on my lure. After a couple of hours I was thinking I'm going home fishless so before pounding my way back across the harbour I decided to have a quick troll over a bit of bottom I know holds fish from time to time. Good decision.......five fish (52, 54, 54, 63, 67).

Well finally broke out of my rat catching mode, but it took a secret weapon.
Caught up with Dave from Barra Trooper lures during the week.
We had a great discussion on lure types shapes and action.
He showed me some of his lures in action in the pool also.
I was lucky enough to score a lure of him which did the damage for me last trip out.
Dragged me up out of my 50 cm regulars to this healthy 92 cm model.
Thanks Dave love your lures.
