Went Channel Island yesterday had two strikes with live bait, will have another crack today. Flicken have you tried in front of the Deck Chair cinema always seem to do well along that rock wall on a high tide. Even caught good fish floating pillies 5 metres off those rocks.

Shook off the donut curse today with a trip to Bynoe.
Was tasked from the wife to get some fillets for the freezer so off to flick the flats for some nice silver Barra.
They were on when the Gulp Prawns hit the water and caught maybe 14 or 15 and kept a few.

Tristan I use a 1/6 or 1/4 ounce jig head and a 3" prawn. Just flick em' out and retrieve slowly. Don't know why they're so good, bugger all action but the Barra love them...About all I use in Darwin and Bynoe Harbours now.
Great for the kids to use too. So easy and they hardly ever get snagged.

Been on the work treadmill big time but managed to sneak up to Copeton for the weekend. Copped 2 pokes in the eyes; low pressure (bit of rain which I’m certainly not complaining about) and releasing 600meg/day from the dam. Terrific.

Mate and I got 1 hit (cod) each. Mate landed his, I wasn’t good enough. Picked up half a Doz nice Yellas. Note the dark colour; they are starting to move up from the deep for spawning.

Hit SWA last Friday, Couldn't find a Barra but I found a new lump and got these 2 (117 & 109cm) in a couple of minutes on the same piece of bait. SWA road is really sh*thouse, I've never seen it that bad, it's normally Gunpoint road that's bad but it's a highway with all the road works.
