So the boat is still running on 2 cylinders instead of 4. So off to the rocks to get in some time close to the salt. It is not a huge fish at 56 cm but better than being at home watching fishing shows. I didn't have a NT news as I wasn’t planning on going fishing till I woke up early and uncomfortably in the kid's bed.

I was a bit concerned when i noted some smallish scales on the rocks where a couple of guys had just left when I arrived. I know there are some rat barra around so hope they weren't barra scales. Tide always hides evidence when it rises.

how many is enough lures, rods and reels. Is there a magic number, considering you usually only catch 1 fish on a single lure on the one rod and reel your casting with.

No paper, no brag mat, no necked or dead fish, good luck with that!

One from the Daly on the weekend (63). Lots of fish about with rats by the thousand along the edges and plenty of fish in the 60s 70s and 80s for the trollers. Caught a heap of fish, weather was great, and not many boats about....just how I like it.
