I also ran a Southern Freshwater Round for a bit of fun so I could enter a fish. NBN is looking good for a win with some great entries. This round closes December 25 so still a chance for me tonight
All winners please send me your full names and postal details.
Appeals can be made up until January 2 and after that the prizes are locked in regardless of the merit of later appeals.
The next Seadogs comp kicks off February 1. As discussed on an earlier thread, the new comp will have some changes, so interest is maintained even after the gun fishos take the early lead. The changes will add something for hardcore fishos and those who don't get out much.
The comp will again be open to fishos in all states that have barramundi, and there will be another Southern Freshwater Round for trout, redfin, yellas, bass etc.
Special mention to previous Seadogs winner 'CuddlesCooper' who was once again setting the pace in 2015 but then landed a job as a pro fishing guide, which made him ineligible to continue, but he got second place anyway.
Special mention also to 'jeffish' who caught more fish through the year at East Point than most fishos did with boats, and he also skillfully landed a golf ball.
Theodosius did well and Buzzdog started well with good fish in the first three rounds, but then went quiet.
The Seadogs Fish of the Year was Scottmac's 127cm barra, caught in Round One (pictured below).
With the rain looking good so far, Seadogs 2016 should be a cracker.
Many thanks to the sponsors, and congrats to entrants who posted fish.
Territory business owners/managers who want to get involved with a prize next year can email me at [email protected]
Thanks again to all involved, especially Swoffa who knocked together the spreadsheets, a huge help and much better than the job I was doing in previous years
