I reckon your scales are out gregsy, mine went 11.5kg. We weighed it with two different scales as we were not to sure the boga grips were accurate.

Was my first every Northern Longtail, 48min fight it put up........I don't think it knew it was hooked.

I would have thought that your's weighed more than 9.5kg. I did not measure mine but I'm 6'2" tall and I'm not holding the fish forward for the photo. If your shorter I suppose it would be about right, I was just assuming that you looked a similar height to me.
Nice fish neverless, an yea I'm addicted to fishing for them. We ofter chase them with 3kg bream gear, lots of fun!!

Im 6ft1, but i dunno prob just decieving photo or maybe i should check my scales against something else, your right geogre they are addictive to chase and catch, i havent yet made it to 6MB out in the harbour as i kept coming across schools of them on the way out.

heres one of the small ones they harvest back home in port lincoln, would have been sent to japan and sold for a stupid ammount

Hey shags'looks like the west coast. I used to live for LBG before the Barr a bug bit me. When I work out how to,ill post one of my LBG fin from the east coast. Cheers for posting yours:-)

Pulled the boga's down to 28lb, didnt get a length measurement though.. Caught jigging a gulp in about 25ft of water around Vashon head port essington, epic runs, and epic fight! 8)

Very fat girl, swam her for about 10mins and off she shot! :cheers:
