Unbelievable - this is tragic - it is time to put some political pressure on and cal for a cull.

Youve got my vote... Start blowing them away..!

People want to get out and enjoy the territory.! bl..dy crocs keep breeding the way they are and you wont be able to go anywhere..
Their numbers arent at risk in any way so... Lock & Load.!

Absolute tragedy ... http://www.news.com.au/national/norther ... 6946962619

Can only imagine the horror the family went through and will now have to relive.

As rare and unusual as it is, it is going to change the way a few people fish.

Just going to be more illegally shot crocs floating around if the gov dont do something...

If they dont cull, more people will take their rifle everytime they go fishing..
I aint going to stop fishing & ive got no problem shooting crocs if im in danger..legal or not!

Taking a firearm into places like kakadu is illegal, that will be your issue.

Been doin my bit for the croc population for the last thirty years, so let's all get on board. Sad day for the family who would be suffering the worst day of their lives no doubt and my thoughts are with them, but when a croc gets someone under water and you don't see them come up it's all over unfortunately, so tough times ahead. On another note.......how articulate is minister Bess Price? Have heard her speak before and her media release is the queens English!! Which makes me think there might be two of them, weird.

If he was fishing up the top of the South Alligator as the latest news report suggested he might have been in the little waterholes where you can only get a cartopper in.

I don't have any further info though, the details will be keenly awaited by barramundi fishos because of the safety aspect.

Thoughts again to the family, it doesn't get much worse.

Very sad & probably wont be the last worst luck with more fishos & crocs getting about. :(

Dunno how taking a gun with you will help, you'd have to put your rod/beer down grab the gun aim and fire before an attacking croc gets you ?
Unless the plan is to pick a fishing spot and shoot any visible crocs first...

last time i seen croc launch at cow on the ord or on one those doco on tv you aint got time to put rod down head for the rifle, unless hemi is joesy wales or john wayne ? and in all comotion id dare say more chance ya mate shooting you , which may be better outcome though than being munched alive.
