First Mandorah trip for the year

Decided to venture over to mandorah for the first time this year. Got over on the 7:00am ferry, and within a few minutes my mates and i managed to get some livies. After about 10 minutes, my reel screamed off and I rushed over and set the hook. Unfortunately I was bricked almost immediately by what was most likely a larger trevally :banghead: . From that point on, we got a few runs and saw some big trevally break the surface. Eventually, one of my mates landed a tarpon, before a few minutes later I got a solid hookup. The first run was quick and straight out, before it ducked back towards the pylons and went deeper. After a short fight I landed a Spaniard around 70cm, which was dispatched and put into the esky. Soon after around 9:20, another mate hooked up to a nice Trev, which he landed and released soon after. After that it all went fairly dead, despite a few bustups from small queenies and macks. Nothing to write home about, but was good to land something. Might pack light next time and go for an explore around the area.

I hope all your irresponsible mates cleaned up all the rubbish. Left the seating area looking like a dump, the jetty cleaners shouldn't have to clean up for you. And what's with your mates jumping off the jetty when others are fishing getting pd off as well. You have my respect you were sensible but the behaviour of your mates was atrocious it's simple look after the environment and show some courtesy to some other people that wanna use the jetty. Also got a hook half inch in my foot due to the lot that were lying loose. They also decided that they could remove my baited line from the rod holders without asking and replace with theirs, set them aside when 2 had set drag so as I said I just wasn't happy with the behaviour and wait what's this thing about playing cricket with a puffer fish and heavy rod butt wacking it around the place almost hitting other people in the head that are simply just fishing. This is to your underage mates to stop drinking p..s and be aware of their behaviour
