Decided to head out to Mandorah last Thursday. Caught an early ferry and within the first three hours managed to hook onto about 6 decent fish. This resulted in me catching my PB brassy trevally, measuring in at 89 cm. Was also the first decent fish I caught on my 7'3 envy black rod. To my surprise, upon returning to Darwin I realized the reel seat had snapped and my Fin Nor LT40 was stuck.
Regardless, was a great day fishing, with all fish being caught on live sardines. A total of 18 fish were hooked up, but 8 managed to bust off. My mate landed a nice coral trout and a Flathead, and between us we landed several good size Queenies (all over the 60 cm mark).
All fish were caught using 30 lb Suffix Braid, size 4 Kato Hooks, and 60 lb Black Magic supple leader.

Re: Brassy PB
Just want to add, the Envy Black Rod blank and guides are great, but the reel seats and handle/grip area is absolute trash. This rod has been discontinued, so you probably won't see one around anymore. It has caused me a headache, as there are associated costs with warranty that exceed $100. Nice rod, but not worth the risk.
