Lee point Shark fishing

Been down to Lee point Twice now to chase sharks. both trips me or my fishing partner landing atleast 1.
Just been fishing the 7m highs and getting there 2.5hours before and walking baits out. :catch:

That middle one is the real lemon shark of the Top End - a sicklefin lemon.

What sort of gear are you using?

I'm using a tld 15 I a short ugly stick and a 9000 ko tackle spin real on a falcon 6ft rod. Mates was using a gt20l my sure what rod. He's now buying a tld25 and planing to spool with 65pound braid. After nearly getting spool.

Just the hole dead mullet about 30cm long from bcf and some left over mackerel

do you secure the bait somehow so the tide doesn't bring it in?

Yeah we use bricks. With 10lb mOno when they take it they snap it and the ratch scream so you know it's still going if they spit it they normal come back for seconds.

Hey, if you use enough bricks for a long time, you might endup bulding a 2nd boat ramp :D

looks like fun mate. just brought ko tackle gear and its good gear and cheaper then anywhere i can find in darwin.

hey man have you seen any jellyfish while walking out?
