Good stuff. Hope they don't get their boat back.

I hope that this turns out to be an extremely expensive fishing trip for these flogs. Respect for the duct-taped esky though......

By my reckoning their only a couple over - only 1/3 of a fish in each of those .......
What would they do with them - mince em up and throw em in a blachan mix ??

it raises the question if its better to throw them back and have a trail of dead fish behind the boat (depending on the depth) or keep them and exceed the bag limits.

keeping fish that small is something that is hard for the 'southerners' to stop doing. it doesnt excuse the behavior but i wonder where they were from.

Busted for live bait sized fish

Should have chucked them back and turned them into shark shiiiit :bonk: :bonk: Plus kept the photos of dead fish floating away in the current :| :| to spark the debate.

Sorry another dumb rule that will not help increase the snapper population and no I don't have the answers or a better solution but 3 fish is stupid for those that can live in deeper water :banghead: :banghead: .

Yes I think 5 snapper per person was fair with a maximum boat limit to apply.

The management approach is all wrong.

Gene mod is all the rage now.

Just inject them with a jewie gene and they will grow faster, breed quicker, and fill the eskie better. Problem solved.

They are already doing it with salmon ... http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-34869556

Do I get a consultancy fee for this? :D :D :D

About time. When are we all going to wake UP. These fish nay have survived. We don't know the depth of water. We don't know what cost if any to fishermen, until court case. The lesson is you may get court. Is it worth it??? I am sick of condor point etc being pillaged.

I don't agree with the new limits. But seriously how can the risk of losing your boat and fishing gear be worth a couple of poxy fish?
