closed waters until 30 June 2023 ___________________________________________________________________

Port users are advised a Closed Waters exclusion zone of 200 metres is to be put in place around the HMAS Coonawarra wharf redevelopment construction site, from 19 October 2020 until 30 June 2023.
Vessels navigating in proximity of the exclusion zone during this period should keep clear and be aware of the probability of significant increases of vessel movements to and from the area of construction during this period.
Yellow special mark buoys with yellow flashing lights will mark the boundaries of the closed waters exclusion zone, as depicted on the attached chartlet for ease of identification.
Mariners should be aware that entry into, or transit through, the closed waters zone is prohibited to all vessels except those directly involved in the construction works or those under the control of the Regional Harbour Master, Royal Australian Navy, Darwin Port, Australian Federal or Northern Territory Police1.
At all times Marine (Prevention of Collision) Regulations must be complied with.

You may find this will eventually be permanent.
I have heard the construction is for american patrol boats to use.
I assume they will not like anyone near there boats when docked there

US Patrol boats next to a Chinese-owned port, sounds complicated :D
