when you see these proposals you wonder why they just havnt been done ,with the rediculous amounts of water that just flows out into the ocean in the top end parts of qld and NT surely there isnt a percentage that cant be harvested and saved for drier times ,if the arabs can pipe water across a vast desert to make a tropical city oasis in the middle of nowhere why cant this be done here to take water down to middle of aussie and the farmers .staggers me ???
