FAD Project # 4.1

Post by BarraBeast »

Anyone who has offered a shipping container - now is the time to dust it off and hand it over. Must be in good enough condition to seal water tight.

can be any length and delivered to the mustering point at the Ski Club Boat Yard. OR I can arrange pick up.

we also need someone called Virgil and some wall hangings with pictures of us with eye's that glow when I call you to action.

plan to get it down with 6 weeks. Requirements for towage etc have been organised.

Virgil Tracy: If they crash-landed on the sea, we'd have picked up a distress call on their radio, unless...
Brains: ...unless they were trapped in the cabin, and if the hydraulic system jammed the automatic escape hatches would not operate.
Gordon Tracy: Do you realize what this means?
Brains: I do, Gordon. They could still be alive, trapped in the flight deck at the bottom of the sea.

[Jeff Tracy and Grandma Tracy are watching Thunderbird 2 lifting off from the runway]
Grandma Tracy: It's not going to be dangerous, is it?
Jeff Tracy: Of course it's not going to be dangerous, Mother. There's nothing to worry about. Alan's got an excellent head for heights, and he's just going to fix the aerial now, that's all.
Grandma Tracy: Well, there's nothing to worry about.
Jeff Tracy: That's right.

Alan Tracy: Say, Tin-Tin, why don't we go off to the mainland tonight? Just the two of us?
Tin-Tin: That would be lovely, Alan. I'll wear my new dress.
Jeff Tracy: [alarmed] What goes on around here? Have you all gone crazy? This is International Rescue, remember? You can't leave the base unmanned.
[Jeff turns to Tin-Tin]
Jeff Tracy: Sorry, Tin-Tin.
Tin-Tin: [disappointed] That's OK, Mr Tracy, I understand.
Alan Tracy: [annoyed] Well I don't. I'm going to bed.
Tin-Tin: But won't you have some coffee, Alan?
Alan Tracy: [heading for his room] No thanks! It keeps me awake!

Howdy SF, components are being gathered as we post. We're going big on the next add on's to the 3 reef systems.

I'm still looking for more shipping containers if they are out there cheap. I now have a means of delivery to the sea floor and have them arranged in a pattern that will help the fish and newbies anchor on them properly.

will keep you posted

thanks punter and everyone else who has offered.
everything is done including the holes that had to be cut etc

the minister can get all the glory with this one, choosing so wisely how to spend our taxes 8-) they have paid for the cranes, barges etc.

you gonna love these additions to Lee point

There’s a bloke from Tiwi Barge over here right now getting gear to put some containers down as artificial reefs. We are donating the rigging to lift them from the barge and dump them in the water.
Is this the same project Beastie Boy?

yes it is Blinkers, I'm working quietly from behind the scenes. less heavy lifting that way

it's my brain child but the minister was on board straight away. it was fun shopping for the gear. some people buy clothes I buy stuff to sink!

the thing is the NTG has done a sterling job with funds and approvals.

now sit back and watch the news! I tried calling your daughter but she has moved on eh.

the delivery to the sea floor happened this morning. sorry but it was a government run operation today. The boyz at fisheries took the reigns, thanks fellas! 8-) 8-)

if we do a smaller project sometime, then the public can view the sinking.

doesnt matter, more places to fish for everyone now :smoking:
