did a late dive just before sunset yesturday. check out my 75cm Coral trout from the harbour!
baked whole, will feed my little tribe for a few nights.

hunting story - i was hanging at about 17metres and lining up a cod below and forward of me when a massive groper swam along side me. i'm sure it was peerring over my shoulder the whole time to see what i was aiming at. the little cod froze, he could see the groper as well. im sure the groper was thinking "go on punk, make my day' took shot and the cod flicked to the side a the last second sending up a puff of sand. Groper still there, didnt even flinch...guess he was thinking "lame shot bro, lame!"

pic - that bottle of wine is lined up with the end of the tail.

What a cracker of a trout from the harbour. Are you freediving 17m? if so that is a legend effort, I am lucky to get to the bottom of my pool without nearly drowning.

doood, i baked it whole in my Heatlie Snappy King BBQ which cooks to perfection. deep fry a magnificane fish! sacrilege!

one small tip - plunge a sharpe knife into the area along the spine, make a cut down to the bone and the lenght of the spine.

drizzle the lemon in there and the cut gets the heat down into the deep section of the flesh - helping it cook.

then dont look at this one from last weekend doors. from Bynoe area. dont give up the dream boyz.

this one measured 76cm. and after the ribbing i got from the red wine, i have pictured the appropriate wine. i think the new universal measurement for fish lenght should be wine or port.

1 bottle of wine = 1 Beasty unit. but i think too many would cheat usung those mini bar bottles they serve on planes.
