found a patch of trout and snappers to 5kg's this morning. the fannie bay side of the harbour channel has some rugged bottom, 19m deep at this morning turn of the tide.
i reckon a slow drift with suepr fresh bait with no current is the go. the fish seam to come out from hiding.
what a great harbour we have with this perfect size eating trout at our door step.

I have often seen trout of that size and bigger whilst diving, only a stones throw (+ a bit) from the shores of Fannie Bay. We have a healthy system out there, just a pity I can't seem to catch the odd one when targeting with hook and line.
