After a very successful first running of the family friendly Billfish Bash, DGFC is proud to present the 2nd DGFC Billfish Bash on the weekend of April 14/15.

This is a tag and release event with photo of the tag in the fish required for proof to claim points. The competition is open to all but at least one crew member must be a financial member of DGFC. The briefing night will be held on April 12th from 7pm at the Darwin Trailer Boat Club. At least 1 member of the team must be present to collect their team kits and tags for the event. A deposit of $30 will be required for the tags which will be returned when the unused tags return to DGFC as we have trouble obtaining these if we don't show constant returns of completed tags.

Prizes will be awarded for Champion Team, Champion Male, Champion Female and Champion Junior anger as well as first fish tagged each day.

Entry fees are $30 per Adult and $15 per junior (under 16 years of age prior to 14 April) entry can be made online at the link below. Teams are filling up fast as is accommodation so get your team together and come along for a fun weekend.

We only went 3/2/1 last Wed, thurs. But it makes a big difference when there’s a dozen boats spread out. When one finds them everyone can concentrate on that area. Then it’s on!
Much easier than blindly searching in one boat. Lots of ground to cover.

That’s my excuse anyway! :bonk: Still had a great trip with good mates.

as long as the beer is cold i don't mind it. fish were NW of the nose and still holding there as well, it will be interesting to see if they move south as there was plenty of bait around the usual haunts. I'm not fishing the carton comp but i'll be watching the Billfish Reports page closely for updates.
