Lake Tinaroo on the Barron River is 3360ha in area.
It has archerfish, bony bream, tandans, barramundi, mangrove jack, saratoga, sleepy cod, silver perch, gar, sooty grunter and redclaw.
Barramundi, sooty grunter and redclaw form the main fishery.
There several concrete boat ramps around the extensive shoreline and camping and accomodation.
A stocked water permit applies at Lake Tinaroo.
