I could start a tagging business in the harbour itself for Goldies there are that many.

There are spots that we go as a last resort when the Barra let me down and 4 of us can bag out in 15 minutes flat. They're not huge though, 30-40cm and we only ever fish for a feed.

Don't know if they have but no harm in having reef closures, another survey question could be "have the NT new bag limits worked?"

Good question. If it was going to work it would have by now. Would be interesting to see charter logs from the past 10 years.

They have to log all fish taken so the evidence would be there.
