Territory Labor plans to introduce boating DUI laws. Are they needed?

Take for instance , you are house boating at Corroboree having a few sherbets in th heat of th day on h/boat & then head out in th evening for a fish who's going to b under th limit.

We dont need a BAC limit, we need dangerous boating laws.

If you have had a few but are operating safely then all good, if your causing a hazard then you should be done drunk, sober or otherwise.

Unless it is moored, the skipper of the house boat is going to have to be sober too.

Yep. The Technical stuff. Agree with all on everything but don't want to opiniate too much. Have to say though that through some partying over the years I've had 2 mates booked DUI for walking out and sleeping in the back seat of their cars after the Wallopers banged on the window and woke them up! Agreed - give it to the 'idiots' hard and the NT water boys can be the judge if your worthy of a fine.

I can't see how they can even enforce this properly without wasting resources that can be used on more pressing issues
