If you caught the $1m fish, the big kahuna, would you go halves with your deckie?

Or 80/20 etc?

In my boat, no, it's all mine. In a mates boat, well maybe they can have $10k.. That's not stingy is it?

Hell no. But $50K, maybe even $100K for landing it.

Happily give the deckie 50-100k depending on circumstances.... Half no way in hell....

Split the million so you have 500k each
Bank 250k each
Then go blow 250k each in a round the world fishing holiday like Robson Green but drink copious amounts of alchohol in the process

When we run out of money come home with 250k each in the bank to use to pay out the ex wives that we didn't take with us

Yeah I like the idea of a bucket list fishing charter.

Its funny how every one said they would go 50.50 with the 10k fish except one or two tight arses but come the million they all said no they wouldnt. Funny how more money

Good point cuddlescooper, 10k fish on my boat, I'd swing 1k their way but I'd put to them the most awesome fishing charter instead which would be more around 50/50 I guess. Jag the 1mil, on my boat then 100k.

Back the other way if they caught it on my boat well I'm very much their fish is their fish so I'd let them decide, if they cut me out well the deckie spot is gone and from history I'd be heading back and hitting that spot hard to find another!

If I was the deckie on someone else's boat, then 50/50 would be my go. Again I'd offer up the fishing trip/charter idea

I'm still happy to split a million dollars up it evenly , 50/50 or 3 ways if there 3 people on board.

I'd prefer a half share of the million than putting it out there that the split is 900 000-100 000 and having my deckie tell me to go f myself if they caught it

I mean, when you buy a family member, relo, mate, etc a lotto ticket or scratchies as a birtday/xmas/etc gift, do you enter into a formal agreement as to the split up of the winnings before you hand it over

Yep - 50:50 all the way

If you expect people to go halves in the days costs then any results should be the same split. Yes, you paid for the boat and rego, services, insurance etc, but that was your choice.

Maybe for some it depends who you go fishing with.

Why should it make a difference if it's $10K, or a million, or just a barra or a jewie.
