Good or bad? ... http://www.marketwatch.com/story/land-r ... MW_popular

No Land Rover bagging please

But these high-output, tiny diesels ... hmmmm

And this ... "Land Rover says (service intervals) only come up on the computer somewhere between 16,000 and 21,000 miles"

Crikey. Thought it must be April 1.

Are they similar figures to the vw amarok with power? Don't know if they're that good on fuel though!
I see there's a few amaroks getting around now, I wonder if people are having a good run out of them and how they tow?

They have been working on this motor for the last 7 to 8 years.
Low "friction" is the major design/improvement.
I believe it is going to come in 4 and 6 cylinder only.
23% decrease in the friction means less wasted energy, lower temperatures, more power and better fuel economy.
Will it work??? wait and see

Impossible whilst running on the diesel that Australia accepts, particularly in Darwin. Most of it wont even light without 'additives'. We accept the dregs of the developed worlds diesel fuel, because we keep buying it.
