Watch out for the Yellow plate boat

Post by Scamper »

Fishing at mouth of Sampan creek last Friday, and nearly had 2 missadventures with a yellow plate boat about 6 m.

Once when out on the reef, we were the only boat in 2 km's. This boat came charging into near us, cut the motor, huge drag waves sent towards us, and before the boat had come to a stand still and anchor put in, a few fishing lines thrown in, current pulled them backward, lines snagged, reversed back creating noise and more waves. Stayed a further 2 minutes then took off.

Next was while we were trawling with 30 other boats at the mouth. Guide boat near us was playing a fish, other boats backed off to give them room. This same yellow boat doing 20 to 25 knots tried coming through them middle of every one. Arms were waving from other boats, guide boat shout at them and indicating they were about to cut there line. The yellow boat turned last minute, same speed and came toward us and then turned around us. Waves every where, tackle boxes tipped up.

If you own this boat or know him, tell him to slow down and be considerate of other boat users.
And if you were using drugs that day, take them back and get a refund from your dealer cause they were ####ing with your head.
