Looks like he might win ... http://edition.cnn.com/

Trump is what happens when mainstream leaders fail to look after the people.

Hopefully he will surprise us in a good way.

Trump wins the USA Presidential Elections! Obama is still President, a lot can happen with NATO forces and Russia.

Don't you love it, the "experts" so wrong. They are detached from the people, just like the politicians.

To me, three things stand out about the surprise result.

USA domestic politics count for far more than global issues to the yanks. George Bush Snr was a popular president in taking on Saddam Hussein in the first gulf war (1990 I think). Yet he was voted out after 1 term. He must have been really on the nose at home to get tossed out after winning a popular war.

Trump's emergence has made the world's financial sectors very nervous due to his utterings during the campaign. Ditto with international relations. Oddly, in his victory speech he sounded more like a president than he did as a potential president during the campaign!

If people feel that they are not being listened to by governments they will turn support to somebody who will listen. Dance with the devil to get a point to govt. In Aus case its seen the rise (again) of Pauline Hansen. In the USA its Trump with his radical views.

This guy might turn out OK.

There's a bit of banter around saying that under Trump the world won't end, the sun will still come up and Australia will not be affected.

Maybe these optimists forget that the world is still paying for George Dubya's legacy.

I reckon there's never been a better time to stock up on popcorn.

"That just goes to show you that a lot of people are sick of political correctness but are to scared to say so in public, but given a chance to anonymously vote for change they will do so"

Definitely needs to be change. What's happens when the Trump voters don't get it?

The last time I saw the Dow financial index change by 1000 points in a day was in 2008 in the GFC.

Yesterday it did it again.

But instead of staying down and sinking lower, its back up again and rising! As is Aus's All Ordinaries.

Sure been a roller coaster ride with all the financial indicators about as accurate as the polls.

I think that's because no one knows what the f..k is going on any more. There are no longer any "rules".
