He might be a spectacular success, but more likely a spectacular disaster, with international consequences.

Not that the likes of Bush could have been much worse for the world.

Either way, other political parties and MPs only have themselves to blame for whatever happens, they say all the right things and then do so little.

Like most things in life, you are judged not so much on what you do as you are on how you go about it.

That's Trump's problem.

Doesn't give a s..t about anything except the US. Treats everybody else as free-loaders living off the USA. The $ bottom line that means so much to him personally.

Accused Australia of shipping more Boston Bombers to the US when commenting on the refugee deal that the US via Obama agreed to.

Christ, I think Australia has been the most consistent ally that the US has had over the last 70 odd years. We've been in every bunfight they've been involved in (except Grenada) and he wants to pull this sort of thing for domestic political gain.

That's fine.

As far as I'm concerned Australia should now go it alone. Give the US alliance (ANZUS) a miss. Give the US itself a miss also.

The NZ'ers did it years ago and are now relying on their national anthem to defend them. " God defend New Zealand" isn't it? It's worked for them.

Develop an A-bomb of our own . Korea has done it, India and Pakistan and now Iran is at it again.

Tell the bl..dy yanks to get rid of the submarine communications centre at North-West Cape, the satellite relay installations at Pine Gap (shift the lot to Diego Garcia), cancel the Joint Strike Fighter program and and any reciprocating military transfers, get their asses out of Darwin and to find their own alternative to Shoalwater Bay. Just p.ss off.

That's just for starters.

bl..dy buffoon.

I laughed when he said he was going to make America safe again. They would have to stop their own nutters from killing their own citizens before they can get anywhere that

we will be a massive target when things turn to poop.
The ANZUS treaty is a joke - they will help us 'IF IT'S IN THEIR BEST INTERESTS'.

Time for Australia to invest in National Service and missiles of its own.

Despite all the progress humanity has made it is likely the world is going to become more complex and hostile in future, and without the USA Australia is just a big, soft marshmallow.

The statistics of American's killed by terrorist acts versus domestic gun violence are night and day, something like 30 years of terrorist activity is less than 1 year of gun violence. 'Merica!

Making and selling missiles is likely to be a growth industry. Australia has got plenty of space for missile testing too ...

Agree re the firearm death rate vs terrorism, political priorities are not always the best ones.

Yeah but it was the corrupt media’s fault that National Security Advisor Michael Flynn had to resign/sacked. How dare they report the truth about his dealings with Putin

He is going to be impeached, it's only a matter of when. But let's not forget that the Bush families wealth was built on oil, and what was the name of the other fella whose company he had "retired from" which won all the Iraq and Afghanistan contracts? How many congressmen are getting kick backs from the medical and pharmaceutical companies. Killary's foundation won quite a few government contracts too. They all have conflicting agendas, none of them are clean. Obama did a good job of not ending up in any scandals, was he clean?
