Back in another life in Vic and SA, we used to fish for brown trout using little Celta spinners.......

Damn that water was cold!!!

Myself and my buddies we use marabou jigs that i tie..trout i was talking about are rainbows brown and brooks...

Take your pick, I,ve found Tassie devils, Loftys, Celtas, 3" plastics in the smelt, Rapalas in the CD3 or CD5, depends a lot on location

In winter shallow trolling, Tassies, Lofties cobras, crickhoppers dusk & dawn.

Bright days , Autumn & Spring slightly deeper flat lining: small Stuckies (3m) AC 40 & 60mm Minnows with shallow bib 2.5/3m,

Summer flatlining : AC Slim Invaders 30' bib, Medium Stuckies 18'

Summer Down riggers : dark colored , Tassies , Slim Invaders with medium Bibs & Medium Stuckies

Sit on the bank & chuck out a wattle grub under a float ,but maybe you arnt allowed to cut trees to get wattle grubs now :grin:

Going to the U.S in a few weeks. Not sure how many Rapala and crickhoppers I can fit in my luggage. It will be xmas every day over there

Mate of mine put me onto Crickhoppers , he trolls windlanes at dawn & dusk with crickhoppers & usually gets few.

As for Stuckeys theyre a brilliant lure but hard to get .....unless you know him.
They're so good we used to go to Glenbawn in the Hunter valley & would have guys chasing us to buy our Stucks second hand ....if we'd sell em.

Heres a nice Bron form Eucumbene, on a small pink stuckey .................

pity bout the rough lookin head,....not the one on the fish either :fu: :fu: :fu:
