These are black, look like a standard baitcaster rod but pack an absolute punch, I do everything from flicking for barra in tight country, to jigging reefies and trolling up macks offshore.

Gomoku don't suit casting at all. They're designed as a dedicated jigging rod, hence the guides are a tiny diameter. Even with the smallest diameter knot like a PR or FG, they still struggle to pass through the guide at speed.

i regulary use gomoku rods. (blue and red ones)
only for jigging out in the blue.
they are a specific rod designed for jigging only. (straight up and down)
Storm do a casting range called the "mojo" rods. they are bright yellow.

a raider "soft plastic" rod would go well with that reel.
they are the green raider rods.
