I like left handed because I fail to see why I would pass the rod from one hand to the other each cast, but that is nothing more than my opinion and is probably because I'm too lazy to do it.

Same, and as a kid using light spinning gear I was always taught to keep your preferred hand on your rod for better control of the cast.......read into that what you will!

I used a mate left handed baitcaster once and felt like a total spaz. I guess it something you could get use to.
It makes scense not swapping hands 500+ times a day

I use a normal right handed baitcaster, but have taught myself to cast left handed. I am now more accurate wit the rod in my left hand. Took a bit of practise though.

Splash.....really. Sure you can teach yourself to be ambidextrous, but why bother?? Really you need three hands. Two left hands. One to hold your beer ,right hand casting & the spare left hand to pass the rod to once you have cast where you intend to. Obviously you'd need two right hands if you're left handed.

I cast alot of the time with both hands if trying to cast long distance so it doesnt seem to matter about changing hands on rod. If short casting same as SteveB left hand casting

RH reels work a treat when your left handed. Never lose contact with the rod - always ready to strike. Seen people get a strike while they are in the process of swapping the rod over.

LH for me. Have the stronger arm on the rod and more control when working lures. Does really limit the selection of bait casters though. I have just got a Daiwa T3 for bass. Hoping it will do the job when I move north.
