Fireline is good, others I havent really tried, seen mates come out fishing with new spools of spider wire and other stuff only to be re-spooling with Fireline back at the camp later that night !!

Millenium Hot Fibre 2 best going round IMHO.
Rod Harrison's brand a very close second, although pricey! :bonk:
Seem to have trouble with Platypus (20 lb) breaking at knots. :banghead:
The old Gorilla braid was great..........until it became unavailable! :fubird:
In the smaller sizes 2 & 4 kg, Talon is good value.

I'm a huge fan of braid  , the only time I use mono is for leaders and that's knotted dogs exclusively. :birdie:

and another fan of fire line. 20lb for lure fishing and 50lb for reef.
only use mono for live baiting creeks and rivers.

Currently have Finns and Millenium Hot Fibre 2 spooled on my two baitcasters, both in 30lb. Have always used Fireline in the past and still have it on my TLD20, but I now rate either of these other lines above it, especially straight out of the packet when I've found that Fireline is too stiff and needs to be used half a dozen times before is becomes more managable. Still in saying that I would still happily go back to using it as opposed to others that I've tried and it still remains to be seen whether or not I'll get the same sort of life out of the Millenium or Finns as I did out of Fireline.

Cheers,
Travis

I now use Ande braid, and it works for me.

Tried using Rapala Titanium braid 40lb on Friday and it continually failed.

Yep . . . . another fan of Fins PRT, 20lb. Great vis in the yellow but does fade fairly quickly. I guess that's pretty much the norm for any high vis braid though.

Fireline is fantastic in the lighter line classes too. I'm a huge fan of 4 and 6lb fireline for ultra light spinning outfits. Especially for soft plastics. Pity they can't work out a means of preventing it from going 'hairy' after prolonged use.

Fireline is OK but doesn't really compare with Fins PRT... use 30lb myself, can't fault it ;)
