Must be the norm to have a rooster tale coming from my lss2, local shop fitted everything so transducer location must be correct just annoying throwing up water on the engine cover and engine area

Anyone else notice this and have maybe rectified the issue somehow?

Mate, I got a little plate made up so it sits above the tranducer and stops the water flying upwards. its in the shape of a L.

I will take a pic and put it up for you.

yes mate, a mate of mine bought a 5.7 legend from I&O marine and the transducer used to spray all over his engine, i would expect more from a marine shop when you spend that much coin and they do the install.

After a lot of reading and you tube vids and a phone call to someone who's had similar issues I finally have my transducer set up correctly plus a custom bracket to hopefully avoid the water spray on the donk. Only water tested once up sadgroves for n hour but was too excited to look back because the screen finally looks like how lowrance advertise the things

I didn't realise these things were sooooo sensitive going to the effort of using a pocket full of coins and a spirit level to get it right

Weeellllllll .... you could mount a plastic mouse wheel over the upcoming jet of spray, have the wheel bolted to a bicycle dynamo so it spins the dynamo, use the resultant volts to charge a battery ... or better, use it to power an auto vehicle coil, run the coil output through an insulated probe that ends with two pieces of metal like a cattle prod. This could be used to control errant deckies, punish share farmers, or stun overly friendly crocs ... as long as you stay on the plane while using it.

Or put an upside down fuel spout over the spray, attach a hose, and you have a deck wash.

You're welcome
