Did this once in Darwin. Servo did not have any extraction facility.
Thought it would happen often enough that servos would have syphons and waste collectors.

I filled my 2011 Dmax from near empty with unleaded and drove to adelaide river and back. No damage, but it was far from economical. Only worked out what i'd done when after stopping I had to turn the car over for say 20 seconds before it would fire up. Drove straight to my mates workshop who gave it a good once over and reckons all i'd done is cleaned the injectors. I was very impressed seeing as I was sure i'd have done major damage.

That does put the mind to rest, (a little bit), Wombat. But I never want to have to test it.
Every time a Start refueling, I take another look, to make sure I have the correct Pump.
My Brother inlaw had to empty 120 Litres out of his Tank, for the same reason.
